PTO COUNCIL LIABILITY INSURANCE The PTO Council carries an umbrella insurance policy with Western World Insurance Company. This policy covers some PTO sponsored events at the school and all PTO volunteers and officers for liability and dishonesty. Babysitting coverage is additional.* Carnival type equipment is not covered by the policy. If your PTO sponsors or holds events located off school premises; or where additional Certificates of Insurance are required, your PTO group needs to notify the Treasurer. There is an additional charge of $52.00 for each of these certificates required. Annual premiums are due by January 1 2009 for the 2008-09 school year. Please mail a copy of your invoice back to the treasurer with payment. At the time of renewal, new policies will be distributed to the schools. The policy runs January through December. We are not able to secure the exact cost of the annual premium until after all schools have submitted their calendar of events for the year and the calendars have been reviewed. Please forward a copy of your calendar of events to the PTO Council Treasurer no later than November 1st. *Babysitting coverage is at an additional cost. Please indicate on your school schedule if you are interested and your premium will be adjusted. The additional charge will be approximately $100 for the additional coverage.
